After that, Jimmy knocked over a candle during his air guitar performance of “Wild Thing.” They drenched the shag carpeting using the yard hose, opened windows, and squirted Lemon Pledge in every room, but couldn’t get rid of that smell of melting plastic.
After that, they piled into Teri’s van, smoked another joint, and drove to Piggly-Wiggly and bought snacks, vodka, and strawberry room deodorizer. They were short three bucks and had to put back the room deodorizer and butter pecan ice cream. As they crawled into the van, a lady wearing a turban and gold dress approached, and asked to borrow five dollars. Teri handed her remaining change to the lady, and they watched as she flagged down a pick-up, jumped into the front seat, and sped away.
After that, they went back to Jimmy’s and made macaroni and cheese in a five-gallon pot. The odor from the earlier fire was still strong, so Teri sprayed around some of Jimmy’s Old Spice. Elvis’s “Love Me Tender” played in the background as the crew sat in a circle, eating and eating until the pot was empty, leaving them still wanting more.
