About Leslie Salas

Leslie Salas is an Instructor of Humanities & Communication at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida and is a graduate of the University of Denver Publishing Institute. In addition to serving as the Comics Editor for Sweet: A Literary Confection and the webmaster for the Florida College English Association, she occasionally writes articles for The Gloria Sirens online magazine. She has edited two creative writing anthologies—Other Orlandos (Burrow Press, 2017) and Condoms & Hot Tubs Don’t Mix: An Anthology of Awkward Sexcapades (Beating Windward Press, 2018)—and has two more edited collections forthcoming from McFarland & Co. Her prose, poetry, comics, and art can be found in publications such as The Southeast Review, Plane Tree Review, and Manticore: Hybrid Writing from Hybrid Identities (Sundress Publications, 2019).
